Welcome
Well, hello there! My name is Pastor Zsófi Schmiedge, and my pronouns are she/her. I am delighted to welcome you on behalf of St. Mark’s to our online platform of presence. Thank you for using this website. We acknowledge that we breathe, work, and create on Treaty 1 territory – the traditional territory of the Anishnaabe, Cree, Ininiwak, Anishininiwak, Dakota peoples, and the homeland of the Métis Nation. We strive to equitably steward what has been entrusted to us and to walk an intentional path of truth and reconciliation. Please take some time to get to know this site. If you have any questions, I am happy to chat with you. If you have any prayer requests, you can connect with me through the church office or my email.
Our Mission, Vision and Values
Our mission is to be Christ’s hands and feet in this world. We pursue our mission by:
- celebrating God’s love through worship and music
- caring for all of God’s creation through service to one another and stewardship of our natural environment
- nurturing children and youth by providing education and opportunities to play a meaningful role in the life of our church
Come Worship with Us
Our regular Sunday worship services begin at 10:00 AM. Worship life at St. Mark’s is vibrant, engaging and welcoming to all. Our services are liturgical in nature but we freely substitute different musical selections for what is found in our hymnal. We are sustained each week by Word from scripture, our Pastor’s sermon and children’s message and in the bread and wine at the Lord’s Supper. We gather as the family of God and the body of Christ. People of all sexual orientations, gender identities, races, beliefs and abilities are welcome here.
